After Virgil Abloh'sdebut Louis Vuitton show, the designer appeared on the runway and headed for his longtime friend and creative collaborator Kanye West. In an interview with 'The Hollywood Reporter' in April, Kanye said: “It's not bad or good, it's my creative collaborator being the head of Louis Vuitton.” In a later interview with Charlamagne Tha God, he stated: “The breakthrough with Virgil is now we have someone who's come from Donda, who's come from the school of Kanye West."
During the show, Abloh played one of Ye's songs Kanye gave the designer a standing ovation.
